Assessments

Walk-in Assessments are open. You can also schedule an appointment by calling (253) 593-0247.

The first step in seeking treatment is to complete an assessment. During the assessment, you will be asked a series of questions about your alcohol and drug use, any medical or mental health issues, your family and social environment, school or work experience and so on. Any information you share is confidential. After the assessment, you and the counselor will determine what kind of treatment program is most appropriate for you.

Please arrive 15 minutes early. You must be on time or you will be asked to come back another day.

Assessments related to DUIs require the counselor to review the following documents below. If you do not bring these documents with you to the assessment the counselor will not be able to send the results of a DUI assessment to the court or your attorney.

  • Current driving abstract
  • Defendant case history or criminal history
  • Police report or probable cause statement

If your assessment is related to other legal issues please bring in any court paperwork related to the case.

If you need any information sent to courts, attorneys, probation officers or caseworkers, please bring the name, address, phone number and fax number to the assessment.
