Who We Serve
Join us, on the ancestral homelands of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians who have lived along the shores of the Puget Sound in Washington State for thousands of years. Living off the waters of the Puyallup River fed by Mount Rainier, the Puyallup People have a rich tradition of fishing, hunting, and traveling by these waters and continue to do so today. Each day your actions and contributions will help better the lives of the patients and clients we serve. You will feel a sense of accomplishment knowing that you are contributing to providing quality healthcare and promoting wellness to a diverse community of patients and clients from over 300 different federally recognized Indigenous tribes residing within Pierce County.
What Makes PTHA A Great Place To Work
The Puyallup Tribe is known as generous and welcoming to all, and that includes taking care of our employees. Every team member is important and valued for their role in fulfilling our mission – to provide quality health care and promote wellness in a culturally appropriate manner.
PTHA is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Here, you are within minutes of beaches, forests, mountains (including our beloved Tahoma) and major metropolitan regions of Tacoma, Seattle and Olympia. Make your home in the region of the Lushootseed speaking people who have lived and cared for these lands since time immemorial.
What PTHA Values For Their Employees
PTHA values its employees and embraces a rich diversity of culture, grounded in upholding values of respect, honesty, quality and teamwork. Together, we are able to make a difference in our community and enrich the lives of the people we serve. To foster and support cultural sustainability, PTHA hosts regular activities for all employees who have a desire to learn about Native traditions, language, arts, and storytelling.
