Education:
Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Washington University, Interdisciplinary Addiction Studies; Master of Arts degree from Antioch University, Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Methods of Counseling:
I honor the inherent wisdom present within. I believe in every human being’s intrinsic value and that we are all worthy exactly as we are. My role as therapist encompasses that of a teacher, student, companion, witness, and guide. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that is built on safety, trust, collaboration and hope. My approach is warm, genuine, strengths-based, and relational, weaving in experiential techniques like Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and Expressive Arts. I view the counseling relationship as a dynamic and healing intervention in and of itself. I work with individuals and families to assist them in healing intergenerational trauma by helping to identify barriers to wellness, effectively shift unhelpful patterns, and offer support in rediscovering the inner resources they’ve had all along.
Interests and Hobbies:
My interests include baking, gardening, reading, and yoga. My hobbies typically involve outdoor adventuring. I especially enjoy exploring new landscapes with loved ones, hiking with my daughter, and spending as much time in nature as possible.
